PLUMBERS AND PIPEFITTERS
Applications Accepted: The first full week of the month (Monday – Friday) 2020, 8:00 AM to 9:00 AM
Apprenticeship Entrance Examination Process:
- All applicants must present their high school diploma or G.E.D., and Valid Government Issued Photo ID.
- You must be 18 years or older to take the exam.
This test takes approximately three (3) hours and covers basic mathematics up through 1st year Algebra. The applicant must pass this test with a minimum score of 65% to qualify.
All applicants, who pass the test, are given a list of signatory employers in this area. The applicant has to find their first (1st) job. The Joint Apprenticeship Committee does not do applicant placement.
All Applicants who fail the test will be required to:
- Take a basic mathematics course at a Junior College or Adult Education Program and furnish verification that they have completed the course wit a “C” or better grade,
- or Obtain a math tutor that will verify that they are prepared to retake the test for a second and final time.
