Ironworker Apprenticeship TrainingIron Workers Local 118 apprenticeship’s program purpose is to train apprentices to become journey-persons in the iron workers industry. This is a four-year program that allows apprentices to earn a living while learning their trade. Apprentices spend approximately 6,000 hours in on-the-job training, working alongside certified Journeyman Iron Workers. Accepted applicants will be added to an existing eligibility pool. Be aware that this means applicants are not guaranteed employment. Also, be aware that if you cannot meet apprenticeship requirements, including physical fitness, you will be dropped from the program and employment will be terminated.
