APPRENTICESHIP

ABOUT THIS PAGE

Apprenticeship provides an opportunity to EARN a living while LEARNING a trade. Apprenticeship is FULL TIME EMPLOYMENT that combines on-the-job (OJT) training with classroom instruction.

Information about apprenticeship openings is hard to find especially if you don’t know where to look. We strive to provide timely information on current and on-going apprenticeship openings with actual apprenticeship announcements that include: application date/time, where and how to apply, minimum qualifications, a list of documents you will need when you make application, and other pertinent information. Our primarily focus is Northern California and San Francisco Bay Area programs. Please note that application procedures vary significantly from trade to trade: attention to detail and double checking your information are keys to success.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS for APPRENTICESHIP

To qualify for an apprenticeship, applicants in most cases must have:

Each apprenticeship program may have additional requirements. Check with each apprenticeship program by visiting its website.

Apprenticeship programs are regulated by the US Department of Labor Office of Apprentices and the State of California Division of Apprenticeship Standards.
